BANGALORE, NOV. 25. A group of people returning from the Kannada film industry-sponsored agitation hurled stones at vehicles and buildings in the central parts of the city today. The police said glass panes of a dozen buildings and five vehicles were damaged by the miscreants, who also set on fire a car with Tamil Nadu registration on Crescent Road. They ransacked the Accident Relief Care unit owned by the Chief Minister, N. Dharam Singh's son, Ajay Singh, on Crescent Road. Several policemen were deployed at cinemas screening Veer Zaara defying the moratorium imposed by the Kannada film industry on screening of new non-Kannada movies, fearing that the protesters may target them. Hundreds of policemen were posted near Vidhana Soudha to prevent any untoward incident and the entire top brass of the city police was present there.
