An official spokesman disclosed that the new sub-division would have 38 villages spread over an area of 117,887 acres with a population of 218,730. It would have two sub-tehsils of Mulana and Saha and two blocks of Barara and Saha.
The Cabinet also decided to amend Rule 4.3 (a) of the Punjab Civil Services Rules, Volume-II, regarding charging of interest on gratuity received by those ex-servicemen civilian employees who preferred to get their service counted for the purpose of pension while doing civil service.
It also approved the guidelines for implementation of the revised unemployment allowance scheme.
The Cabinet also decided that the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) would now have an Electricity Ombudsman to redress the grievances of electricity consumers in the State. The HERC has already framed the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (Guidelines for Establishment of Forum for Redressal of Grievances of Consumers) and (Electricity Ombudsman) Regulation, 2004.
It also decided to grant licence to DLF Universal Limited for an additional land measuring 2.44 acres which would become an integral part of the Cyber City project in Gurgaon.
