Big wins for Andhra

BANGALORE, NOV. 25. Andhra defeated Tamil Nadu by 198 runs in a V. Pattabhiraman Trophy South Zone under-17 match here on Thursday. G.V.S. Prasad took eight wickets for Andhra. Though Maruthi Raghav scored 107, Tamil Nadu was bowled out for 171.

The scores: Andhra 218 and 275 for six decl. in 78 overs (Mohsin Basha 61, Bharath Reddy 60) bt Tamil Nadu 124 and 171 in 88.3 overs (Maruthi Raghav 107, G.V.S. Prasad eight for 67).

Kerala 107 and 125 in 68.2 overs (Khushal Jilla four for 29, Shoaib three for 19, Ravi Teja three for 42) lost to Hyderabad 300.

Goa 209 and 176 for six in 70 overs (Saurabh Gawade 76, Ilyas Naroo 50, M.R. Darshan three for 62) drew with Karnataka 281 in 122 overs (Pawan 91 n.o., Kunal 86, S. Bandekar four for 76). — Our Sports Reporter
