Bankim, Shifa claim honours

HYDERABAD, NOV. 25. Bankim Singh of Manipur and S. Shifa of Karnataka clinched the honours in the sub-junior boys and girls sections respectively, in the National aquathlon championship at Gachibowli on Thursday.

Bankim Singh clocked 23:15.66 to win the boys title. Shifa clocked 25:31.08.

The results:

Men: 1. Mahesh Shinde (ITF Academy) 28:45.71, 2. A. Jagtap (Mah), 3. Syed Jabir (ITF Academy).

Women: 1. Sneha Shampur (Kar) 35:32.05, 2. Ashima Barik (WB), 3. Rishu Mehra (Dli).

Juniors: Boys: 1. J. Jagadeeshan (Kar) 28:16.68, 2. Mani Singh (ITF Academy), 3. P. Arun (ITF Academy).

Girls: 1. Urvashi Sarang (Guj) 34:01.38, 2. Vishaka Gupta (Mah), 3. Kanthamanis (ITF Academy).

Sub-juniors: Boys: 1. Bankim Singh (Man) 23:15.66, 2. Mahinderjit Singh (Man), 3. Ganesh Mate (Mah).

Girls: 1. S. Shifa (Kar) 25:31.08, 2. Navya Shenoy (Kar), 3. Pooja Chaurasia (Guj).
