Will comment at appropriate time: Anil Ambani
MUMBAI,
NOV. 25.
The Reliance Energy Limited Chairman, Anil Ambani, tonight refused to join issue with his elder brother and Reliance Chairman, Mukesh Ambani, on the battle between them but indicated that it could be a long-drawn tussle.
He said the resignations of six professional directors from his company's Board would be considered at the "appropriate time."
"I am not going to comment at this stage on any other issue. I have not spoken on other issues and I will continue in that mode. When the appropriate time comes, when it is necessary and if necessary I will make comments on other issues," he said, speaking for the first time to the media since differences between him and his brother came out into the open.
"I appreciate that the media has been waiting for long. There are long hours and there are going to be long days," he told reporters in an apparent indication that the tussle may be prolonged. He said the Reliance Energy Board would consider the resignations at an appropriate time.
