HYDERABAD, NOV. 25. The H.E.H The Nizam and Alladin Technical Institute has planned to set up a vocational junior college from the next academic year. It has also proposed to introduce a number of new courses like Auto Electrician and Electronics Mechanic, Data Entry Operator, IT Electronics Maintenance Mechanic. The institute, which has completed 50 years of its existence, has decided to offer new courses which are in great demand and have good employment potential, said Habib Alladin, secretary, and M.A. Hadi, treasurer, The Nizam & Alladin Technical Education Society. They told presspersons here on Thursday that this year the institute had started Sanitary Hardware Fitter trade and obtained affiliation from the National Council for Vocational Training. This six-month duration course was intended to help school dropouts. Students who have passed out from the institute had found good placements both within and outside the country, Mr. Alladin said. The institute was also providing guidance to successful trainees to secure admission in apprenticeship training programme being conducted by various factories, Mr. Alladin said.
Golden jubilee
He said the institute had planned to celebrate its golden jubilee for three days from November 27. The Labour Minister, G. Vinod, will be chief guest at the inaugural ceremony. On Sunday a symposium and exhibition on technical education would be held and in the valedictory function on Monday a souvenir would be released.
