NEW DELHI, NOV. 26. Vishal Singh scored off a 60-yard penalty in the dying minutes to clinch the issue for Royal Kashmir 8-7 against Oberoi Blues and made it to the semifinals of the Maharaja Hari Singh Cup (14-goal) polo tournament at the Jaipur Polo ground here on Friday. Vishal Singh also emerged the top scorer with five goals while Angad Kalaan and Louis Antoine Tari struck two goals apiece. For Oberoi Blues, Dhruvpal Godara fired six goals while Hamza Khan chipped in with one. In the second match, Basheer Ali steered Jindal Steel and Power to a comfortable 12-7 win against Thunderbolt Jodhpur. Basheer fired six goals while Sameer Suhag had three and Simran Shergill two as Jindals topped its group and made it to the semifinals against Oberoi Blues. Royal Kashmir meets Aravalli Polo in the other semifinal.
