Anil Ambani visits Tirumala

By Our Special Correspondent

The vice-chairman of the Reliance Group, Anil Ambani, coming out of his guest house at Tirumala on Saturday along with his wife and son. They were on their way to the temple.

TIRUMALA, NOV. 27. Anil Ambani, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, flew in here in his private aircraft and offered prayers at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara. He was accompanied by his wife Tina and two sons.

Mr. Anil arrived at 8.30 a.m. and flew back in less than three hours after a quick darshan of the Lord. Eyewitness accounts said that Mr. Anil, who has locked horns with his elder brother and Chairman of RIL, Mukhesh Ambani, over ownership issues, declined to answer questions from the media. He said: "I have come to offer prayers to the Lord seeking peace and tranquillity for my family." He spent about 10 minutes in the sanctum sanctorum offering prayers.

A jovial person who normally spares some time for the Tirumala-based mediapersons during his visits, Mr. Anil today looked disturbed and was reticent, sources said. He hopped into a waiting car, drove straight to his suite on the hills and then left.
