HYDERABAD, NOV. 27. The Telugu Desam president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Saturday announced the party's State executive along with 17-member Polit Bureau, the top decision-making body, giving representation to some new faces. The new-look Polit Bureau saw the party president dropping some senior leaders and giving representation to experienced ones Several former Ministers, MLAs in the last Assembly and senior leaders have been accommodated in the new set-up. The Polit Bureau members, excluding Mr. Naidu and the Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party leader, K.Yerran Naidu, who is the ex-officio member, are: P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju (Vizianagaram), T. Devender Goud (Ranga Reddy), Y. Ramakrishnudu (East Godavari), S.M. Lal Jan Basha and Ummareddy Venkateswarulu (both Guntur), M. Jaganndham (Mahabubnagar) and Kandula Sivananda Reddy (Cuddapah) have been retained.
New faces
The new faces are: K. Pratibha Bharati (Srikakulam), N. Janardhan Reddy (Mahabubnagar), K.E. Krishna Murthy (Kurnool), E. Dayakar Rao (Warangal), K. Balarama Krishna Murthy (Prakasam), L. Ramana (Karimnagar), Alladi Rajkumar (Hyderabad) and Kalva Srinivasulu (Anantapur). Mudragadda Padmanabham, S. Venugopalachari, and Suguna Kumari are among those dropped. Six general secretaries -- Kadiyam Srihari, Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu, M. Renuka, E. Peddi Reddy, B. Shoba Nagi Reddy and Syed Yusuf Ali -- have also been appointed. There are six vice-presidents, 14 organising secretaries, 36 secretaries and former Minister Uma Madhava Reddy as treasurer. Releasing the list at a press conference here on Saturday, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu named former Minister, M.V. Mysoora Reddy, K.Vidyadhara Rao, M. Narasimhulu, Nannapaneni Rajakumari, C. Ramachandraiah, S. Venugopala Chary and Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, as the official spokespersons. Mr. Naidu also announced members of seven new committees. Revuri Prakash Reddy from Warangal is the chairman of the Disciplinary committee. The chiefs of other committees are: Ahmed Sharief (Programmes), T. D. Janardhan Rao (HRD), Ummareddy Venkateswarulu (Analysing), N. Siva Prasad (Cultural), L.V.S.R.K. Prasad (Media) and P. Yadagiri (Reception). The TD president said social justice had been done by giving due representation to all sections. There is fair representation to women, youth, minorities and all communities.
