Mangalore
By Our Staff Correspondent
MANGALORE,
NOV. 27.
Responding to a query here, Mr. Rajashekaran said the State Government had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation. It was the duty of the Government to honour the MoU, he added. Declining to comment on the statement of the Union Minister of Petroleum, Mani Shankar Aiyer, on shifting the SEZ, Mr. Rajashekaran said he was sure that the Prime Minister and the Petroleum Minister would award the SEZ to Mangalore as it was in a position to take off towards higher growth. As Mangalore qualified to get a SEZ, it was difficult to stall the process, he added.
