Mega science expo from today

VIJAYAWADA, NOV. 27. Sri Kakatiya Educational Institutions will organise a three-day mega science and arts expo on the premises of the institutions on Eluru Road, beginning on Sunday.

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, the secretary and correspondent of the institutions, K. S. N. Reddy, said nearly three lakh people were expected to visit the expo.

He said issues like Indian Panorama, Andhra Pradesh at a glance, Vijayawada Vista Vision, the magic world of computers, perils of pollution and health hazards would be some of the highlights of the exhibition. In addition, there would be exhibit models of the Kanaka Durga temple in Vijayawada, Red Fort, Parliament, Charminar and Taj Mahal, he added.

Mr. Reddy said all educational institutions across Krishna district were extended an invitation to bring their children to the educative expo, which would remain open to the public from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The president of the institutions, P. Ramakrishna Raju, the vice-president, C. Nageswara Rao, the academic director, T. V. Reddy and the principal, A. Lakshminarayana, were present.
