TIRUCHI, NOV. 28. M. Ranjit of KNMS scored a 15-10, 15-4 win over E. Premkumar of Teppakulam Bishop Heber HSS to claim the junior boys' singles title in the fourth district-level badminton tournament, conducted by Kamala Niketan Montessori School (KNMS), here on Saturday. The KNMS pair of E. Uttamkumar and K. Aravind got the better of M. Maheshwaran and R. Naveen of Vailankanni Raj MHSS 15-11, 15-4 to claim the junior doubles crown. Malarvizhi of RSK HSS downed Janani of St. Joseph's Anglo-Indian School 15-7, 15-9 to clinch the junior girls' title. The doubles crown went to K. Vishnu Priya and P. Ahana of KNMS who defeated J. Stephy Joan and A. Infantia of St. Joseph's Girls HSS (Ponmalaipatti) 15-10, 15-7. V. Vembarasan of Sri Bhagavan Nursery School (Srirangam) beat N. M. Niwin Santhosh of Sri Akilandeshwari Vidyalaya 15-10, 15-11 to emerge victorious in the sub-junior boys' singles event. S. Saravanan and V. Sharanath of Campion Anglo-Indian HSS beat A. Jiswanth Natesh and Prashanthan of KNMS 15-12, 15-10 to win the doubles title. The sub-junior girls' crown went to P. Preethi of Sri Vignesh Renga Matriculation HSS who downed E. Priyadarshini of St. Joseph's Girls HSS (Ponmalaipatti) 15-4, 15-5 in the final, while the doubles title went to K. N. Meenakshi and S. Subhiksha. The duo defeated K. Mahalakshmi and V. Hiral 15-13, 15-12 in an-all KNMS finals.
