BANGALORE, NOV. 28. Three persons, who allegedly forged and fabricated property registration documents to obtain illegal power connections, have been arrested by the Hebbal police. The names of the accused were given as David (47) and Palani Kumar (29) of Kavalbyrasandra and Narayanswamy (39), a resident of Geddalahalli, Sanjayanagar. The police said the accused fabricated and forged khata extracts, tax payment receipts, blueprints of building plans and other documents. They allegedly fabricated the seals and forged the signatures of Bangalore Mahanagara Palike commissioner, commissioners of different City Municipal Councils such as Dasarahalli and Byatarayanapura, top officers of panchayats such as Nagashettyhalli, Chokkasandra, Cholanayakanahalli and Lingarajapuram, the police said. The Hebbal police confiscated several fabricated documents and forms from the three accused. If the racket had not been busted, the KPTCL would have been deceived and its genuine consumers cheated, the police said.
