Meeting

COIMBATORE, NOV. 28 . The meeting of the Coimbatore Corporation will be held at 10.30 a.m. at the Town Hall on November 29.

The Mayor, T. Malaravan, will preside.

Training

The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) has organised an eight-day part-time training in First Aid.

The part-time programme will be conducted at CODISSIA Hall, Huzur Road from November 29 in association with St. John's Ambulance Association.

The training will create awareness on the methods to be followed for providing first aid, according to a release from CODISSIA.

It would cover various aspects relating to first aid, the release added.

Talk

The Chinmaya Mission, Coimbatore, has organised talks on `Srimad Bhagavatam' in Tamil from November 29 to December 3.

The discourse will be conducted by Gagan Chaitanya at the Krishnaswamy Nagar Matriculation School, Ramanathapuram.

Award

The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) will present the sixth annual Pupul Jaykar Award for the best maintained traffic islands and roadside parks, maintained by private and Government agencies.

The INTACH has said in a press release that a special team of eminent horticulturists would evaluate the parks and islands between December 1 and 4.
