Invoking divinity

Sir, — The report "Divinity has chosen BJP: Advani" (Nov. 27) makes strange reading. By invoking the Divine Right theory, Mr. Advani may have to amend the preamble of the Indian Constitution and say India is a `divine republic,' not a `democratic republic.'
