BANGALORE, NOV. 29. H.J. Prajwal defeated Sharan Patil 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 and entered the second qualifying round of the boys under-14 singles in the Nutrine Masters tennis championship for sub-juniors, which got underway at the KSLTA Stadium courts here on Monday. In another tough contest, Tushal beat S. Siddarth 7-5, 7-6(5). Eight qualifiers join four wild cards and 20 main draw players in the Nutrine Masters, which saw a record six zonal tournament this year. The winners of both the under-14 and under-12 singles would receive a scholarship of Rs. 10,000.
Girls: Divya Rana bt Vipanchika 6-0, 6-1; Ravina Shetty bt Apeksha 6-1, 6-0; Archana bt Shreya 7-5, 7-5.
