MANGALORE, NOV. 29. Canara College is organising `CanFest 2004,' a State-level inter-collegiate commerce festival, on Wednesday and Thursday. The principal of the college, N.R. Javalli, told presspersons here on Monday that as many as 300 students from colleges in Bangalore, Mysore, Belgaum, Udupi, and Mangalore were expected to participate in the event, which would be held at the T.V. Raman Pai Conventional Hall at Kodialbail. The festival would be of university-level. Cultural programmes would be held on Wednesday evening, he said. The former president of Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, R.D. Kini, would inaugurate the programme at 9.30 a.m. on Wednesday. The correspondent of Canara College, S.S. Kamath, would preside over the function. The valedictory function would be on Thursday at 4.45 p.m.
