NEW DELHI, NOV. 29. The Indian Women's Hockey Federation (IWHF) has reverted to the old format wherein the zonal qualifiers will compete in the National championship. The defending champion Indian Railways and the runners-up, Indian Universities have been directly seeded into the 53rd Women's National hockey championship, which will be either held at Lucknow or Delhi.
The 32 member states and units have been divided into six zones and top two teams from region will make it to the championship main.
