Dinesh Reddy to be new Hyderabad police chief

HYDERABAD,
NOV. 29.
V. Dinesh Reddy will be the new Police Commissioner of Hyderabad, the Government announced on Monday. He will take over from R.P. Singh who is posted as the Additional DGP (Provisioning and Logistics). Mr. Reddy is currently working as the Additional DGP (Law and Order).
On transfer, the Additional DGP (P&L), R.R. Girish Kumar, was posted as the Additional DGP (Crime Investigation Department). The Additional DGP (CID), P.V. Naidu, has been posted as the Additional DGP (L&O).
For R.P. Singh, who had two stints as the Hyderabad Police Commissioner, the second term was shorter than the first. He served for 14 months and four days during the first term and 12 months and 16 days for the second time.
