LUCKNOW, NOV. 29. BJP today vowed to oppose the proposed Maulana Ali Jauhar university Bill likely to be taken up in Uttar Pradesh Assembly tomorrow even as the Congress, supporting the government from outside, said it will demand dropping provision nominating Urban Minister Azam Khan as the pro-chancellor of the university for life. ``The proposed Jauhar university is an example of the Muslim appeasement policy being pursued by Mulayam Singh Yadav government and will be opposed by the BJP both in the Assembly and outside'', party spokesman Hriday Narain Dixit said here. Blaming both SP and Congress for what he termed ``blatant move to woo the Muslims'', Mr. Dixit took strong exception to Azam Khan's views that those opposing the Jauhar university had no concern for educating the Muslims.
