M.P. House adjourned after paying tributes

BHOPAL, NOV. 29. The Madhya Pradesh Assembly today offered tributes to the departed leaders and the House was adjourned till tomorrow.

When the House assembled today on the first day of winter session, the Speaker, Ishwardas Rohani, administered the oath to the two newly elected members -- the BJP MLA from Damoh, Dashrath Singh Lodhi and the Congress MLA from Balaghat, Ashok Singh Saraswar. After the swearing-in of the new members, Mr. Rohani paid tributes to the former Gujarat Chief Minister, Amar Singh Chaudhary, former Orissa Chief Minister, Nilmani Routray and former Union Ministers, Shyam Nandan Mishra, Buddhpriya Maurya, and Raja Ramanna. The Speaker also paid homage to the 12 youths who were killed in the ghastly train accident near the State Capital on Sunday.

Since the Chief Minister, Babulal Gaur was not present in the House, the Public Health and Family Welfare

Minister, Gauri Shankar Shejwar, paid homage to the departed souls from the ruling side. Dr. Shejwar also mentioned the demise of the Chief Minister, Babulal Gaur's only son Purushottam and prayed for strength to the bereaved family during the hour of crisis.

The leader of Opposition, Jamuna Devi, also offered heartfelt condolences to the Chief Minister and paid glowing tributes to the departed souls. Condolences were also offered by Samajwadi Party's Vijay Bahadur

Singh, I.M.P. Verma of Bahujan Samaj Party and Man Mohan Shah Batti of Gondwana Gantantra Party.
