Ryotu sangham for coordinated approach
VIJAYAWADA,
NOV. 29.
The Andhra Pradesh Ryotu Sangham has said that the special committee, appointed by the Government to identify lands for distribution to landless poor, should have separate meetings with officials of the Forest, Revenue and Endowment departments and also with representatives of farmers associations and agricultural workers unions. The sangham State president, Kolli Nageswara Rao, in a statement here on Monday hailed the appointment of the special committee with the Minister for Municipal Administration, Koneru Ranga Rao, as chairman. He said it was imperative for the committee to have meetings with heads of departments.
He said there were 60 lakh acres of Government land available for distribution to 26.75 lakhs of landless poor.
