State pressuring Centre to rescue farmers: YSR

HYDERABAD,
NOV. 30.
The Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, on Monday said the State Government was putting pressure on the Centre and the Reserve Bank of India to capitalise on the cooperative sector and rescue the farming community.
He said that in spite of the cooperative sector not doing well, the Government had motivated commercial banks to increase lending by way of crop loans by 36 per cent, especially in the past six months.
