Special trains for Chennai, Bangalore

HYDERABAD, NOV. 30. The South Eastern Railway will operate 14 weekly special trains between Tatanagar-Chennai and Howrah-Bangalore and back to clear the extra rush during winter season.

According to a South Central Railway press release here on Tuesday, Train No. 889 Tatanagar-Chennai weekly special will depart Tatanagar on December 18, 25, January 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 at 3.10 p.m. and arrive Chennai at 11 p.m. the next day. Enroute, the train stops at Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore and Gudur.

In the return direction, the train leaves Chennai on December 20, 27, January 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 at 2.15 p.m. and arrive Tatanagar at 5 p.m. The special train will consist of one AC two-tier and AC three-tier, nine-sleeper class, four general class, two luggage-cum-brake vans.

Train No. 803 Howrah-Bangalore weekly special will leave Howrah on December 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, January 5, 12, 19 and 26 at 3.25 p.m. and arrive Bangalore at 4 p.m. The train will stop at Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore and Gudur. In the return direction, the train leaves Bangalore on December 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, January 7, 14, 21 and 28 at 11.15 p.m. and arrive Howrah at 3.45 pm.

Halt at Pakala

The SCR will provide one-minute halt for Train No. 7209 Bangalore-Kakinada Seshadri express and Train No. 1082 Kanyakumari-Chatrapati Sivaji terminus (Mumbai) express at Pakala station with effect from December 1.

The Kakinada bound Seshadri Express will arrive/depart Pakala at 7.04 p.m./7.05 p.m. In the return direction, the train will arrive/depart Pakala at 6.07 a.m./ 6.08 a.m. Train No. 1082 will arrive/depart Pakala at 3.44 a.m./3.45 a.m.
