Partly cloudy

CHENNAI, NOV. 30 . The sky will be partly cloudy on Wednesday. The minimum temperature will be around 19 degrees Celsius.

On Tuesday, Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 30.1 and 30 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 20.3 and 19.5 degrees Celsius. The humidity recorded was 72 and 78 per cent respectively.

Power cut

Power supply will be suspended between 9 a.m and 5 p.m. on Wednesday in E.H. Road and Coronation Nagar of Korukkupet for maintenance work.

Customer meet

The Mount Road and G.P. Road branches of Canara Bank jointly organised a customer meet on November 27. N. Kumar, deputy general manager, Chennai, briefed the customers on the various schemes launched by the bank. B. Sham Batta, assistant general manager and V. Prabhakaran, Chief Manager, G.P. Road branch participated.

Medical books

Over one lakh medical books on medical and allied subjects are on display at Dr. MGR Medical University in Guindy for five days. The exhibition will be run from 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. It was inaugurated by C.V. Bhirmanandham, the vice-chancellor on Monday. The cost of the books on display is estimated to be Rs. 5 crores.
