Nights remain chilly

Forecast: Mainly clear sky. No significant change in night temperature. Minimum temperature would be around 18 degrees Celsius.

At Waltair the maximum temperature was 30 degrees Celsius and the minimum 21.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 46 per cent and at 5.30 p.m was 48 per cent. At Airport, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 31 degrees Celsius and 18.8 degrees Celsius respectively. The maximum and minimum temperatures at Dolphin's Nose were 30.3 degrees Celsius and 18.4 degrees Celsius respectively.

Aerobatic display

The Indian Naval formation aerobatic team from Goa, Sagar Pawan, is here to give a scintillating display of various manoeuvres during the operational demonstration on December 4 at R.K. Beach. The team comprises four Kiran aircrafts and is being commanded by commander Sameer Mehra.

Deadline extended

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has extended the pay-by-date to December 1 for customers who faced inconvenience on November 30 due the bandh called by BJP.

AIDS awareness

VSP official for US meet

P.V.S. Prabhakara Murty, assistant manager (industrial hygiene) of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, has been selected by the Society of Risk Analysis to present a paper at its 24th annual meeting in the US. His paper will deal with `Occupational noise exposure in VSP.'

Health camp

A free medical camp was organised by the Lions Club of Visakhapatnam - Siddhardha at Ramakrishna Nagar in Akkayyapalem on Tuesday. In all, 400 patients were examined.
