Child worker rescued

KURNOOL, NOV. 30. A child worker, who was allegedly chained by his parents was rescued by the Child Labour Project officials here on Tuesday. According to reports, 12-year-old Srinivasulu was employed in a cycle repair shop and was allegedly chained when he refused to go to work.

The project director, Velugu, P. Venkatrami Reddy, and the project director, National Child Labour Project, Isaaq, took the boy into their custody and a case was registered in the Three Town police station. The boy told the officials that he would go to school if an opportunity was given.
