BANGALORE, NOV. 30. Al Hakim Foundation today announced that it would foster education and scientific research among students, Muslims in particular, by giving grants and scholarships. Arif Khan, founder, Al Hakim Foundation for Science and Humanity, told presspersons that any individual could nominate a candidate. He said the candidate needed to put together a grant application (not exceeding 2,000 words) describing his or her background, proposed purpose of the application, need for funds for scientific or technical study (such as graduate school) and proposed research to build on new ideas or to explore validity of current thinking and belief. The nominees will receive support not exceeding $ 2,000 for a year. Those interested may send an email to Mr. Arif Khan at akhan@nwcrc.net.
