TIRUNELVELI, DEC. 1 . Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam functionaries today staged a demonstration at Jawahar Grounds in Palayamkottai, protesting the recent remarks made by the Minister for Industries, Nainar Nagendran, and the Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, against the DMK president, M. Karunanidhi, in the Assembly. Raising slogans against Ms. Jayalalithaa, the protestors, led by the district secretary of the party, R. Avudayappan, warned that the adverse comments being made by the Chief Minister and her ministerial colleagues against Mr. Karunanidhi would have serious repercussions. The presidium chairman of the party, Suba. Seetharaman, the city secretary, Maalai Raja, DMK councillors of Tirunelveli Corporation and others participated in the agitation.
