Rats send police in a tizzy!

HYDERABAD,

While controversy over hoisting of a religious flag kept entire city police top brass on tenterhooks, rats sent the Abids police into a tizzy on Wednesday night. As the security alarms of American Express Bank and Canara Bank buzzed loudly, Abids policemen rushed to the two buildings only to learn that rats set them on!
"Initially, we were worried. But, later realised that rats might have eaten parts of the chords setting the alarms on. This is a common phenomenon," the Abids Sub-Inspector, P. Srinivas, said.
He called up the respective bank managers who had sent the technicians to switch off the alarms.
