NEW DELHI, DEC. 2 . `Shramdaan' will be conducted along the banks of the Yamuna by Prabhat, a non-government organisation working with differently-abled children, on Friday to mark World Disability Day. The children will contribute towards saving the environment of Delhi by joining the exercise to cleanse the Yamuna, which is being polluted by untreated domestic sewage, industrial effluents, flyash and chemicals. The children would remove environmentally hazardous plastic bags, garbage and pooja flowers from the river. These children along with those from Sri Ram School in Vasant Valley and government schools of North and South Delhi would also form a human chain to create awareness among the citizens about the need to save the river.
