Three OU students taken ill after consuming food

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, DEC. 2. Three hostellers of Osmania University campus reportedly took ill after consuming adulterated food on Thursday evening. They were shifted to Gandhi Hospital and were said to be out of danger.

Students of University College of Education, M. Srinivas, 22, P. Saibaba, 24, and K. Laxman, 26, complained of giddiness and began vomiting. They are boarders of `C' hostel. When a group of students inspected the mess hall, they reportedly found a lizard in a dish.

The students blocked the road in front of the college demanding action against the hostel warden and the University Registrar. The university in-charge Vice-Chancellor, Ramachandraiah, visited the hostel and pacified the agitating students by assuring action against those responsible.
