Wife killed; man surrenders

NEW DELHI, DEC 2 . A man today allegedly murdered his wife after suspecting her to have illicit relationship with his father.

After committing the crime, the accused Satish Gupta went to police and surrendered, police sources said.

Gupta, who was living separately from his 38-year-old wife Sarvesh for last five years, went to her house in Sangam Vihar this morning and allegedly hit her with a cricket bat repeatedly till she died, the sources said.

He suspected the mother of four of having illicit relationship with his father, the source said, adding while Sarvesh lived with her father-in-law, Gupta was living in Govindpuri because of differences with his wife over this issue.

The two had been married for last 20 years.
