Pakistan loses tour opener

PERTH, DEC. 3 . Pakistan, using 15 players to either bat or bowl through seven sessions, opened its Australian cricket tour on a disappointing note on Friday, losing by 10 runs to a Western Australian Second XI in a three-day match at James Oval.

Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer said he wasn't happy with his team's first preparation for its three-Test series against Australia beginning on Dec. 16 in Perth.

Pakistan legspinner Danish Kaneria had 7-45 off 16 overs in the second innings.

Brief scores: Western Australia Second XI 158 and 192; Pakistan 257 and 83.— AP
