WARANGAL, DEC. 3. The senior BJP leader, Ch. Vidyasagar Rao, has accused the State Government of trying to divert the Godavari waters depriving the Telangana region of its due share.
Speaking to reporters here today, Mr. Rao said both the Congress and the TRS came to power on Telangana plank and are now silent over the development of the region.
Mr. Rao sought to know what would be left to the region if the Government allocates 200 tmcft to Dummugudem and 150 tmcft to Polavaram project from the Godavari waters. Is there any comprehensive idea on share of waters to each region?, the BJP leader questioned.
He alleged that the Congress leaders were busy trying to execute the irrigation projects only to make money ignoring the interests of the people.
