Watery grave for brother, sister

NIZAMABAD, DEC. 3. A Scheduled Caste woman, Putta Asavva (22) and her brother, Roddela Ramesh (24) of Nikhalpur in Nandipet mandal, were drowned in the village tank on Friday morning.

According to the Nandipet police, Asavva, who was pregnant, accidentally fell in the tank while washing clothes. Ramesh who observed this from a distance jumped into the water to save his sister. However, both met a watery grave as Ramesh was physically challenged and could not save his sister. The police are investigating the case.
