Navy Expo begins

KOCHI, DEC. 3. The Navy Week celebrations took a full swing here today with the inauguration of the Navy Expo 2004 by Vice-Admiral S.C.S. Bangara, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Naval Command. It will be open to public between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The Expo includes naval exhibits like guns, diving equipment, weapons, armament and torpedoes from various training schools in the Naval Base.

Referendum

The United Front of Telecom Unions got a thumping majority in a BSNL referendum held in the Ernakulam telecom district on Wednesday. The referendum was held to decide the largest union of BSNL employees.
