Hyderabad women retain title
VISAKHAPATNAM,
DEC. 4.
Hyderabad retained the women's title, beating Rangareddy 62-23 in the final of the inter-district championships at the Port Stadium here on Saturday night.
Guntur finished third, prevailing over Visakhapatnam 37-30.
The results: Men: Semifinals: Hyderabad 90 (Amrut 33, Nihal Yadav 19, Pankaj 17) bt Rangareddy 40 (Ram Singh 14). Nalgonda 79 (Appalaraju 19, Babu 19, Ram Pande 12) bt Anantapur 51 (Siva Reddy 13, Jagapathi Reddy 10).
Women: Final: Hyderabad 62 (Binu A.B. 25, Deepa Mathew 12, Alimelu 11) bt Rangareddy 23 Third place: Guntur 37 (Poornima 27) bt Visakhapatnam 30 (Bhavani 14).
