BANGALORE, DEC. 4. Anand Srinivasan bagged the top spot in the tournament to select the Bangalore Golf Club team to participate in the McDowell's Signature inter-club tournament. The winners and runners-up from Saturday's matches will form the Bangalore Golf Club team for the Southern Regional finals to be held at Mysore on Sunday. Anand Srinivasan and R.N. Shashank will represent the 0-8 handicappers, Madhavi Reddy and K.B. Menon took the top spot and runner-up spot in the 9-16 handicap section and S.R. Ramachandran and N. Ramanathan were the two from the 17-24 handicap. At the Eagleton Golf Resort, Abhishek Jha earned a slot from the 0-9 category with runner-up S. Karthik being his teammate. B.N. Kurunesh and Raju Sarada were the qualifiers from 9-16 section and Raghu Verma and K.N. Bhat finished one-two in the 17-24 handicap section. All six players will represent Eagleton at the Mysore Zonal finals.
Special prizes: Longest drive: Ramesh Bhosle (245 yds) 5th hole; Closest to the pin: Santosh Datta 16th hole.
At Eagleton: 0-9: 1. Abhishek Jha (37), 2. S. Karthik (34); 9-16: B.N. Kurunesh (39), 2. Raju Sarda (32); 17-24: Raghu Verma (41), 2. K.N. Bhat (36). Longest drive: B.N. Kurunesh (300yds), 16th hole; Closest to the pin: Srinath, 4th hole.
