Probe sought

KURNOOL, DEC. 7. The General Secretary of AIBEA, Ch. Venkatachalam, has urged the Government to institute a parliamentary probe into the reported lapses of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in the collapse of Global Trust Bank.

He said the Finance Minister, P. Chidambaram, announced action against the promoters but ignored the reported lapses of the RBI in taking timely action.
