By Our Correspondent

MADANAPALLE, DEC. 7. The Regional Joint Director of the Market Committee, S. Krishna Murthy, has called for proper grading of tomatoes, as the produce was sent to Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tamil Nadu, and in the absence of grading, the price offered would be low. Addressing a press meet at the market yard here on Tuesday, Mr. Murthy said Madanapalle occupied first place when it came to marketing tomatoes. He said electronic balances had to be used and complaint boxes and register maintained. He also called for drinking water and toilet facilities at the marketyard for farmers.

Steps for development of the two sub-marketyards at Nimmanapalle and B. Kothakota would be taken, he promised.
