Vishwamanava Award for Prabhushankar

BANGALORE, DEC. 7. The Mysore-based Sri Kuvempu Vidyavadhaka Trust has selected writer K. Prabhushankar for its prestigious Vishwamanava Award for 2004. The award comprises a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 and a citation.

Veteran journalist V.N. Subbba Rao has been chosen for the H.K. Veeranna Gowda Award and T.C. Poornima for the Savitramma Dejagow Award for women writers. The two awards comprise a purse of Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 20,000, respectively, besides a citation.

The awards will be presented on Wednesday in Mysore, according to a release.
