TDP draws flak from BJP

The TDP attracted the ire of not only the Left parties but also the BJP for stalling the proceedings.

The BJP, however, held the treasury benches equally responsible for the episode. The BJP MLA, G. Kishan Reddy, said members should give no scope for their ego to control their emotions. The party supported the TDP's demand for a separate debate on irrigation tenders. Talking to presspersons separately, the CPI(M) members, led by T. Veerabhadram, said the TDP had no moral right to talk about corruption as its regime had seen dozens of scams involving thousands of crores of rupees.

The CPI floor leader, Ch. Venkata Reddy, said the TDP's conduct was "outrageous."
