Nidhish hits century

HYDERABAD, DEC. 7. Nidhish scored 101 with the help of fourteen hits to the boundary to enable Kuvempu score a 133-run win over Alagappa in the South Zone inter-university cricket tournament for men here on Tuesday.

The scores:

Calicut 426 (Abhijit Menon 54, Anish 77, Rahish 54, Sham Sheed 85) bt Univ. of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad 42 for nine.

Andhra 270 for seven (Kumar Swamy 55, B.P. Srinivas 59, Ganga Raju 50) bt Mangalore 135 (Vikas Rao 47, Srinivas Rao four for 47).

Kuvempu 287 for six (Nidhish 101, Naveen 69) bt Alagappa 154 (Sivabalan 55, Girish Kumar five for 21).
