Winter National championship inaugurated

VISAKHAPATNAM,
DEC. 7.
The 46th edition of the Winter National bridge championship was inaugurated by the Chief Secretary to the State Government, Mohan Kanda at the Waltair Club here on Tuesday.
The function was presided over by the president emeritus of the Bridge Federation of India, P.C. Goenka, who is also president of the Asian Bridge Federation. Dr. Mohan Kanda lit a lamp to signify the opening of the National event.
The entries for the tournament are still pouring in. However, the main interest of the event will be in whether the Railways team can score a hat-trick of Ruia wins.
