GUWAHATI, DEC 7. Street children from Delhi will be showcasing their scientific talents along with 600-odd child scientists from all over the country in the five-day 12th National Children Science Congress(NCSC) beginning here on December 27. The children from the national capital will be participating on two projects on Fatehpuri area of Old Delhi Railway Station and the Okhla Vegetable Market area of New Delhi. An NGO called Butterflies has guided these street children for the congress under their alternate media project. The focal theme this year is `Harness Water for a Better Future'. The Chairman of the Academic Committee of the NCSC, Arup Kr Misra, and the Director of the Assam Science Technology and Environment Council(ASTEC), A.K. Baruwa, told reporters here that the President, A.P.J. Abdal Kalam, has given his consent to inaugurate the congress that is being held at Cotton College here. The ASTEC is hosting the event.
