Sai Pavan, Ananth joint winners

HYDERABAD, DEC. 7. T. Sai Pavan and H. Ananth, both of whom scored five points in five rounds, were declared joint winners of the 40th Sunday chess tournament which was conducted by the Chess Aacdemy of Hyderabad at the South Central Railway Institute here on Sunday.

The results (fifth round): H. Ananth (5) bt R. Sai Ram (4); T. Sai Pavan (5) bt S. Nagaharita Devi (3.5); A. Vikas Reddy (4) bt G. Naga Teja (3); Mrudul Kumar (4) bt D. Radha Krishna (3); M.V. Sai Deep (4) bt Swetha (3).

Age-group winners:

Boys: Under-7: S. Gowtham; Under-9: Mrudul Kumar; Under-11: R. Sri Ram; Under-13: A. Vikas reddy and M.V. Sai Deep; Under-20: Ashish P.N.

Girls: Under-7: N. Nikhitha; Under-9: K. Swetha Under-11: S. Nagaharitha Devi; Under-13: G.V.N. Dhanalakshmi ; Under-15: B. Nishitha; Under-20: T. Sushmitha.
