Around the City

No big change in temperature

A clear sky with minimum temperature hovering around 11 degree Celsius is forecast for Wednesday. The city on Tuesday recorded a maximum temperature of 29.8 degree Celsius and a minimum of 12.0 degree Celsius.

Vocational training

Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Somajiguda, will offer training in vocational trades from December 9. Beautician course will be for three months; biscuit and chocolate making, making of home purpose chemical products like surf, phenol, pain balm, vaseline, saree rolling and dry cleaning and different varieties of haircutting and styles for two months each. Screening test

The Hyderabad Zakat and Charitable Trust, GBK Charitable Trust and IQRA Society for Career Guidance will conduct a screening test across the State on December 19 to select candidates belonging to minority communities for awarding scholarship and providing a free four-month professional coaching for Civil Services examination at a coaching centre here. Graduates with 60 per cent and above marks and also those who are pursuing PG courses can register names over phone no. 23326832 between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on or before December 15.

Sports day at NASR School

Nasr School for Boys, Cyberabad, had a grand sports day celebration recently with students presenting an impressive march past, drills and track events. The highlight was the `Dressage' conducted by members of the Nasr Riding Club.The Assembly Speaker, K.R. Suresh Reddy, gave away the trophy to the best marching house.

Free eye camp tomorrow

The Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, will inaugurate a blood donation and free eye check-up camp at Gandhi Bhavan on December 9 to mark the 59th birthday of the AICC president, Sonia Gandhi. Persons over 45 years of age will be given free spectacles and medicines. If necessary, they will be referred to Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital and Shankar Nethralaya for free treatment.

Arthritis camp on Dec. 11, 12

A free Ayurvedic medical camp for arthritis patients will be conducted at Krishna Kumar's Kerala Ayurvedic Centre, A.C. Guards, on December 11 and 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For registration contact over phone no. 23394858.

Skin clinic opened

Kaya Skin Clinic with a range of services and products developed to suit the Indian skin was opened at Banjara Hills Road No.1 on Tuesday. Aparna Santhanam, clinic's Head (Medical Services), said Kaya was not a beauty parlour but a clinic to provide holistic treatment.
