Man accused of harassing former lover ends life
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABD,
DEC. 7.
David Raju, 28, who was accused of harassing his former lover, committed suicide by jumping in front of a train near Secunderabad Railway Station on Monday night. His body was found lying near the railway track on Tuesday morning. A note purportedly written by the victim stated that no one was responsible for his death, Raju's elder brother, Veerender Paul, said.
Mr. Veerender Paul condemned the charges that Raju had harassed his former lover, on whose complaint the Gandhinagar police have registered a criminal case against him under sections 506, 354 and 323 of IPC.
"It is a fact that my brother was a bit depressed, but the reports that he harassed his lover are baseless," Mr. Paul maintained. According to him, Raju of New Bhoinagar and the girl in question fell in love six years ago. Even the girl wrote several letters to my brother, he said.
