HYDERABAD, DEC. 7. Forensic experts from the world over are assembling in the city on Wednesday to discuss and evolve strategies on `Crime scene management', a crucial step in investigation of an offence. About 80 papers would be presented during the two-day seminar being organised jointly by the Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory (APFSL) and the Directorate of Forensic Sciences (Government of India) as part of the annual All-India Forensic Science Congress. More than 200 delegates from the fields of forensic sciences, police and judiciary would interact during the conference, the DFS Director-cum-Chief Forensic Scientist, M.S. Rao and the APFSL Director, K.P.C. Gandhi, told reporters here. The Andhra Pradesh High Court Chief Justice, Devender Guptha, will inaugurate the seminar.
Wide participation
Participants from Germany, Canada, United States of America, France, Australia, Japan and United Kingdom would share their experiences of adopting new technologies in busting crimes. Central and State forensic science laboratories have several advanced technologies like audio-video authenticity tools, digital water marking of soft and hard copies, brain finger printing and automatic speaker identification system.
